Role Description

Stockport Truck Centre is expanding our workshop team and we’re looking for a proactive Trailer Technician to support our busy Dukinfield and Bredbury depots. This role offers the chance to work on a varied fleet of commercial trailers, where no two days are the same. From routine servicing to advanced diagnostics, you’ll be a key part of keeping our customers on the road.

Duties:

Routine servicing, inspections, and repairs to DVSA standards

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, then carrying out effective repairs

Replacing or repairing components including brakes, suspension, and lighting systems

Maintaining accurate service records and documentation

Working safely and efficiently to workshop targets

Required Certification & Experience:

Previous background as a Trailer Technician, HGV Fitter, or similar role

Sound knowledge of trailer systems and mechanical components

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team

Welding/fabrication ability an advantage but not essential
