Role Description

Stockport Truck Centre continues to grow, and we’re now seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to join our workshop team across our Dukinfield and Bredbury sites. You’ll be working on a wide range of commercial trailers, handling everything from servicing and repairs to fault diagnostics. Every day brings new challenges, making this an engaging & varied position.

Duties:

Carrying out trailer servicing, repairs, and inspections to DVSA requirements

Identifying and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
Working efficiently within workshop safety & performance standards

Repairing or replacing parts such as braking, lighting, and suspension components

Recording work completed and maintaining workshop documentation

Required Certification & Experience:

Proven experience as a Trailer Technician, HGV Mechanic, or similar position

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical trailer systems

Capable of working independently or alongside other technicians

Welding or fabrication experience beneficial but not essential
Strong attention to detail with a practical, problem-solving mindset
